Blue Heron (Aaron Mackey) is a Tulsa native hip-hop artist. Inspired by Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, and other obvious goats of his time. Some of his more niche influences being Tobi Lou, Spose, and Quadeca.
Aaron always loved music, writing and playing instruments at a young age. When his childhood household became unstable he turned to hip-hop as a coping mechanism.
When he turned 18 Aaron went to Tulsa Tech for sound engineering with his best friend and they both recorded songs on ripped beats. They would put them out on YouTube under different aliases.
At 23 Aaron had his daughter Kinley and his whole perspective switched, he is solely focused on proving to his daughter that if she can dream it she can live it. After sweeping the open mic scene in Tulsa, Oklahoma having a handful of performances at Lot no. 6 with Had Enough and the Carnage Crew, Rabbit Hole with the Underground Collective. He now aims his sights higher with Rhythmic Records and his debut album!
